Ah, April. What a beautiful month. It's officially the middle month of autumn and it contains kd
Just before the new month arrived, I've been fortunate to have received word from SeaGlass Literary. This is completely unexpected because I didn't think my poems would be submitted. I remember reading the submission guidelines, but I had completely missed out the part where they mentioned the theme. I submitted knowing nothing about that. So, after having read that, I was disappointed, and I had told myself that I was not going to have my works accepted. Come March 30th, imagine my surprise when I found this email, accepting 3 of the 5 I had sent. This is truly an honor.
I've also received an acceptance email from Short Vine Literary Journal, accepting my work how to grow a seed. This one was also surprising because I really believed that I was burning myself out the past month of March. I had spent one month, writing poems without taking as much time to digest and edit and I had convinced myself that this was the end of my short-lived career in poetry. I'm truly grateful to have my work accepted here, in a literary journal based in America and run by students from the University of Cincinnati. This is something magical, I tell you.
